A 10-wheel dump truck, also known as a 10-wheel tipper truck, is a type of heavy-duty truck commonly used in construction, mining, and transportation industries. It features ten wheels, typically arranged in a configuration of two wheels at the front axle and four wheels on each of the two rear axles.
The dump truck is equipped with a hydraulically operated dump bed or “box” mounted on the chassis behind the cab. This dump bed can be raised at the front end, allowing the contents to be unloaded by gravity. Dump trucks are used to transport various materials such as sand, gravel, soil, rocks, and demolition debris. Their versatility and high carrying capacity make them essential for hauling materials on construction sites, in mining operations, and for transporting bulk goods over long distances.
